In order to achieve a good luminous effect, please note that the glow in the dark tape must be charged about 30 minutes in bright light before each use. Charge just before each use, as it may not be effective if charged during the day and used at night. It can be charged faster when exposed to light sources with UV rays, such as sunlight and black light. The initial brightness is high, then slowly fades off in the dark. Expose it to light again, and it will start glowing in the dark once more.

It can be charged over and over again indefinitely and will keep working for many years. Glow in the dark tape acts like a battery - when "fully charged", additional "charge time" is unnecessary. The first few hours are bright, then gradually dimmed, still visible but emitting a faint light. If you find that it's not bright enough, you will need to charge it again.
